Flyball, Flyball, Flyball

Hello pals!

You all know I have been involved with Flyball for about a year now. I'm having a grand time running and racing against other pups. Of course, I am always ready to go and do the very best I can.

We had some downtime at the tournament this past weekend in Sandusky, OH. I snuck out with our team mascot, Rock E. Feller and enjoyed a quick ride on a roller coaster.

Pals, it was GRRRAND fun.

Help me pals!!!

Oh, pals.. I need your help. I have been hearing whispers that I am going to get a dreaded...

....

....

....

HAIRCUT

Oh, my mother says I'll be cooler. Whatever... I don't want a haircut. My mother gives me a homestyle haircut. Have you ever seen a wire fox terrier with a bowl cut?

I'm pleading....

Mom also said that my hair needs to be trimmed because I have to get measured for flyball. I need to be "as short as possible." WHAT??????!!!!!!!

I am a big boy! Oh sure, I am the smallest one in my house, but why should that spread to the flyball world. Hurmph. Oh, so what if the team needs a height dog, and I am a little taller than what they want. My mother is calling me, too tall Sam.

Good thing I am a wire fox terrier and I have a big enough ego and self esteem that I don't have to listen to this garbage about my height. I just want my fur to look nice for my big debut at the NAFA tournament.

I'll let you know how it turns out. Of course, if I don't like it, I can always resort to this to get my mom back...... BOL

Update!!!! My mother just watched EXTREME POODLES on the telly. Oh, plz help!!! It was all about artistic grooming! Yikes.

Free day?!! What the heck?

Hi kids!  Whew, we have been so busy the past few months with everything going on that we found we had an entirely free weekend.  Like, whassup with that?  No agility trials, no flyball tournaments, no traveling, no nothing......

I'm not one to just sit around, so I decided to take a few photos today......

Here's a self portrait of what I will be doing later this afternoon.  i call it,  DOGDAY AFTERNOON.

Zorra and our cuz, Honeycomb, are going to spend the afternoon hanging out, too.  (Beware, Zorra doesn't like Honeycomb much of the time.  Notice her look!  BOL)  This still piece is called CUZINLY LUV.

And, here's my goofy little brother.  He's SOOOOO annoying.  He thinks he's from England, but he's NOT, he's from nothern Indiana.  Right now, he's resting  but, soon, he'll be up and pacing around to watch "football." This afternoon.  We have gotten in several arguments, that it's called soccer in the US of A, IN MY HOUSE, not football.  If he doesn't start listening to me, I am going to sit on him!  I took a pic of him, too.  His portrait is ANNOYING LITTLE P**SANT.

I'm not sure what we are going to do the rest of the day.  Mom is going around grumbling to try to get things done and honked off that it is raining so we can't play outside.  I say.. hey, everyone deserves a day off.  After my nap, I think I'll just follow her around everywhere she goes, and I do mean everywhere. BOL.

Hiya... happenings

Hiya kids!

We finally wrangled the computer away from our mom... don't be bothered with that screaming or anything coming from the garage. We just locked her out so we could post. She never gives up the computer much anymore... she is "supposedly" working. WHATEVER. We need to post......

While mom is working, we get b o r e d with not much to do. I was lying around on the couch... but that got boring. REALLY boring. I am going to go check on Mom. Maybe she's not working.

You are STILL working??!! That is just not fair. Where is my time. Me and you?? Just us? Do you even remember who I am???

I guess I will go lie on the couch in the den. I just can't get comfy.....

Sam get up!!! Let me boss you around and take all your toys! Sam says he's sleeping and doesn't want to play. What a BABY!

C'mon Zorra.. Let's WRASSLE!!!

She says she schnoozing too. Whassup with all this @#@$@$@. I need some interaction!

I even tried to get into a theoretical conversation with Ruthie, who owns my grandpa. Ruthie wasn't seeing my point of view and immediately turned around and went to sleep!

THEN, my mom says.. C'mon Katie. We gotta go! I was like WOW. Let's do it!

We went to a pet expo to do an agility demo to help promote our training center. Now, Mom didn't get any photos of me doing anything, but she did get some of our buddies!

Here is Duffy on the teeter-totter. He and his mom did a great job. And, this photo below is Deeva, Duffy's big sister. She was there to do some agility, too. They are two of my pals from agility trials, and agility, rally, and flyball classes.

This blur is Jet, a min pin. He goes really fast. Mom didn't have on flash, so the speed of the camera was a little slow, but it really makes Jet look like a blur. BOL.

The pet expo was GREAT. I won a bag of really good dog food, got some great treats and mom even bought ME some new toys and leashes. I had a great day!

But, then, we came home and now I am bored...

But, I think I will just rest my eyes for a MOMENT.

Roofers, Trials, Too Many Distractions

Hello Bloggerland,

Upon my mother's return from her vacation, I had assumed that she would spend all her time with ME. However, that has not been the case. It appears that a new roof was needed for our house. I didn't really mind the water leaking in occasionally, but, apparently, it made my mother rather distraught.

To remedy this situation, a roofing company was hired to perform the needed repairs. Well, they showed up on Thursday and Katie, Zorra, and I just had to voice our displeasure with these strange men crawling all over our house!! All three of us were commenting at once, since we all had something to say.

It is very tough work watching all these strangers beat on our roof. At times, I was epecting them to fall through the ceiling. I wanted to have a taste of a roofer butt!!

It is now Wednesday and they are cleaning up their tools, etc. I am not sure what we will do during the day now. I guess we will have to resort to our old habits of napping and lounging, witing for Mother to complete her work so we can play.

Katherine and Zorra competed in a USDAA trial over the weekend. Neither of the girls did very well. Mother didn't mind all that much, as Katie was trying to explain that she was so tired from barking all day. I am not sure that Mother was too thrilled about that explanation.

We are all going to do another trial this weekend. I cannot wait, as I am entered. Oh, how I will run around the course. Dogs and people will be amazed!!

Dreaded Day

Well, everydoggie....

It's here. The most dreaded day of the year for our Mom. She is, shall we say, a bit irritated. It is TAX DAY. She hates tax day because no matter what she does, she always seems to owe taxes.

What does that have to do with us, I bet you are thinking. Well, our mom goes on tirades around tax day. She says that WE NEED TO CUT BACK SO I CAN PAY THIS STUPID #$#$#$#$ TAX BILL. She rants and raves about cutting back on things.

So, we have a discussion.

She says WE ARE CUTTING BACK ON AGILITY LESSONS AND FLYBALL LESSONS.

I say

No.

She says WE ARE NOT GOING TO DO AS MANY AGILITY TRIALS.

I say Look at me. Does this face look like I think that is a good idea?

No

She says... WE ARE GOING TO CUT DOWN ON NEW TOYS

I say Ummmm let me think about that.

OH, definitely not.

She says... WE ARE GOING TO CUT DOWN ON EXTRA TREATS

I say.. Get a hold of yourself! Wake me up when you come to your senses.

So, my mom says... WEll, Miss Smartie Pants. What do you suggest we get rid of....

I only had to think for a nano-second. The sacrifice would be hard (well, not for me but I can put on a brave front)..... I looked at my Mom and said.......

..

..

..

Oh, just kidding.... BOL.

Floppy Friday

Hello bloggerland.....

Here's what we did on Friday:

Our mother was working hard today, but not enough... She stopped in the middle of the day for a quick photo shoot with only Katherine. NOT FAIR, I say. I am more photogenic that she!!!

This was a nice photograph of my sister, but I will never tell her!!! I will just have to wait for my very own photo shoot!

The weekend

Hi everbloggie,

This weekend, we didn't have anything planned, and I was bored. I woke up on Saturday and thought "Hey, what am I going to do today?"

B-O-R-E-D

I decided that I would squeek on my toy a bit.

Then, I would squeek it some more.

Ruthie was getting annoyed at the noise.

Zorra was sitting on Auntie's lap, and telling her that my squeeking was annoying.

But, then Zorra saw how much fun I was having and wanted to join in.

Sam wanted to join in.

I guess I wasn't so bored after all.

Various ponderings for today

The time has finally come when I, too, shall compete again in agility. Mother and I have been practicing quite a bit, but I am still not sure the daft woman understands that I shall pick the course, and not some feeble minded human. We have a trial this weekend. We are all participating and our friends are questioning Mother's sanity for running with all three of us.

I do have to say that my favorite obstacle (as they say in the agility world) is the A frame. I LOVE it. I love to climb up and down it. But, I must tell you the absolute special part of it, is when I can look down on my mother from the apex! You can really see her turn the brightest shade of red, especially when it is the 4th or 5th time I have climbed it in a row! BOL.

Zorra has finally mastered what she refers to as her arch nemesis the ..... TEETER TOTTER. Although she is not yet as quick as I am, she has managed not to stand in the middle and be frightened to move. So, hurrah for my sister. I, on the other hand, run completely to the end as quickly as I can. I like the feel of falling through space and the loud BANG at the end.

Katherine was at an agility trial with Mother last Sunday. I still question my mother's sanity for not taking ME. Katherine really didn't want to do agility on Sunday and she told me that Mother was in a tizzy as to why Katherine didn't want to participate. Katherine told me that it was just because. Always leave Mom guessing, is her motto. Mother was all ready to just pack it up and go home before the last run, but decided since the money was already paid, that she and Katherine should just give it a go. Well, Katherine decided that she would try to complete the course this time, and bam.. she got 2nd place. Again, Katherine's motto is always leave Mom guessing.

Now, we are considering Rally-O classes. It is a cross between Obedience and agility. We may do that. It sounds like a splendid time.

Of course, Mother says if I leave any more stains in the house, that I'll never get to go anywhere again. Oh, pish posh, I say. If she would take me everywhere she goes, we wouldn't have this problem, would we Mother.

Speaking of which, I am watching Mother now as she is buzzing around the house. It appears that she is getting ready to leave and she has my leash. Yippeeee.. but.. wait... she has a towel... and shampoo... oh no...... HELP

February 29th

I was just reading Blue's blog and found out that girls can ask boys to marry them on this day...

Oh, I certainly hope that a special Corgi will look my way this evening at agility class. She always refuses my requests for marriage, but perhaps she was just waiting until today to propose to me!

Oh, how will I wait until this evening??

thinking...

Hi everybloggie,

We finally made it back from AZ. We had some trouble dodging all those storms on the way home. Today has me in a reflective mood....

I'm wondering when it is going to stop raining so we can go run around outside. Our mom is driving us NUTS. We need a break from her!! She has been working too much and she is cranky.

I am also wondering why my collar is reflecting when I am inside the house??

I'm visualizing how much fun it is to go run around outside, without the rain and without slopping around in the mud all the time. I don't really mind it so much, but my mom isn't too keen on Sammie's mud pies. And, visualizing my mom not being so cranky and giving us lots of treats....

Visualizing even harder that Mom will be nice and go get us some treats.... treats... treats...

YEA!! It worked. Mom gots us our favorite treats!! Frozen Peanut Butter Kongs!!!!!!
