Sam

Going through the pain so you don't have to, Sam knows that he trots a fine line between funny and stupid, but he doesn't care—he's laughing about it all the way to the pet store. His over-the-top antics make you grimace with fear and you often find it hard to believe that he actually enjoys playing the class clown. But Sam laps it up and continues to defy the odds, despite your warnings and concerns. Other males in the pack tend to be a little jealous of Sam, but the females find him simply dreamy. A die-hard good ol' boy, Sam is more of a General Lee type than a Knight Rider, but give him enough time to think things through and he's sure to find a way to wreck both vehicles at the same time.

Quick Shout Out

Hi everydog...

Just a quick shout out to our pals. We think our mother will actually let us view our pals' blogs again, since her work has lessened. So, have no fear, we will soon be conversing on everydog's blogs again.

Blue told our mother about a new photo meme. (They are MAD about posting photos. They do it all the time). They now do photo memes 4 times a week. When does that leave time for us???

At any rate, you dogs might like this as well. It is called Camera Critters and it happens every Sunday. Go here to view. Our mother put some rather unflattering portraits of us on her blog. We are not happy about those photos and will plot on how to embarrass her later.

Those raccoons on the host blog remind me of Mr. Rat!! I want to definitely meet them. Katherine said she would go, as well. She really wants to meet them too.

Friday's short post

Our mother has been working long hours (again!) and we have had no time to visit our pals, or blog much. But, she promised that we could catch up this weekend on everydoggies activities.

Our pal Blue sent us this to answer a few weeks ago. So, we decided to do a collective answer.

Five things on OUR to-do list:
1. Eat treats
2. Sleep
3. Sniff
4. Run
5. Play with our mother

Five Snacks WE enjoy:
1. Homemade jerky
2. Auntie Sharon's special liver treats
3. cheese
4. small bits of hot dogs
5. Peanut butter filled Kongs



Five Things I would you do if I was a Billionaire:

1. We would build a big place where all our doggie friends could come and play and do agility and flyball and other things with us.
2. Start a trust for other rescue dogs to find homes
3. Buy a real limo so we can travel to agility trials in style
4. Have an endless supply of treats!
5. We would travel EVERYWHERE with our mom, since we would foot the bill!!

Five of OUR bad habits:

1. Barking at every sound
2. Pouting when we don't get our way
3. Chewing things we shouldn't
4. Tearing up things we shouldn't
5. One of us in particular puts STAINS in certain places....

The weekend

Hi bloggies,

We don't have much to report for the weekend. We went to our agility practice and we all did really well. Mommi ran Sam on a leash so he couldn't run all over the place wifout her. BOL.

She tried to tell him that it would be in his best interest to listen to her just a little when they are running together. By the end of the morning, I think Sam was just appeasing her and would follow her around a little bit. Mommi was happy about that.

We went wif our Auntie and our cuzin Cal, and they did great. Calvin hasn't been doing agility all that long, and he was really goin like an agility dog. Auntie was really prowd of him.

We have a couple of agility trials next month, so we are practicin really hard. I want to do a good job and get a couple of qualifyin runs.

Today, we went to the DWB chat, and that was a lot of fun to talk to a few of our pals and make new ones!

It was so cold this weekend that I mostly stayed under the covers. I buried myself way down in the blankies so I wouldn't get too cold. I told Mommi that I wanted a sleepin bag lik Joe Stains, and she said she would think about it.

Our mom was reading things on Maggie and Mitch's blog about matching up with a dog. Her list consisted of:

1. Doberman (OMD.... they are big!)
2. Tibetan Mastiff (ANOTHER big dog? WTH is going on?)
3. ROTTIE (OK... something is DEFINITELY going on)
4. Pitbull (??!! All these are GUARD DOGS. I thought I was a good guard dog?)
5. FOX TERRIER (now I know this is rigged!!!)

Katie came in as #15 on the list. Do you know where I CAME IN?? #79!!! Beagle mixes!!

OK, I am going to go talk to my mommie about this. I am not sure I like these results. I know we ALL are rescues, but she better not bring any of these other dogs around wifout MY permission. Besides, Katie would be mad, too.

Don't tell Sammie that he out ranked both ME and KATIE. He is already hard enough to live wif.

Chrissymas Shopping

Mommi has left the howse to go Chrissymas shopping, so it was my turn to do some bloggin'. We had a couple tags to catch up on. We did this one before, but we all, (including mommi) on did 2 so we decided we would do it again for fun. It was from our cute little caption lovin' pal Balboa.


Me: (this is one of the first photos that mommi took of me when I came to live with her. I'm the cutest!)


1. I am gettin' ready for my first competition in flyball. We are goin' to a race/meet in January in Michigan. I'm tryin' not to think 'bout it too much or I will get nervous.

2. When we go to 'gility trials I make my mommi cawwy me 'round a lot becawse I get nervous. Mommi is tryin to help me not get so nervous all the time by teachin me sum tricks to keep my mind off it.

Katie

This is a photo Mommi took right after she found Katie.



1. Katie is boss, right after mommi. We haf to lissen to her, or we get in twouble. She keeps us all in line so it doesn't get too crazy around here. Katie don't like kay-oz too much. Sometimes, she even tries to boss doggies we don't know, too.

2. Katie wants to be a therapy dog and go into nursing homes and visit the people there. We did that when our granma was in the nursing home and Katie loved going up to anyone who needed a smile or needed her to do a flashy trick.

Sammie

Here is Sammie right after he came to live wif us.



1. Sammie came to live with us because he heard how much fun we had doing stuff. He still gets to see his other family sometimes.

2. Sammie doesn't like to get up in the morning, and mommi has to go drag him out of bed if it is still really dark out. Oh, does that make mommi mad! He He He. Sammie says that he doesn't see the need to rise before dawn.

Mommi

This is just one of mommi's fav pics that she has taken.



1. Got a new i-pod touch that I think she likes more than me. But, she shows her friends all our photos on it, so I guess that is OK. She puts it way up where we can't get to it and chew on it. That makes us mad!

2. Lets us all sit with her on the couch and watch tv. We all race to see who will get to sit next to her first. Normally, if we all want to sit next to mommi, Katie and I sit on each side of her and Sammie sits on her lap.

It was for 7 annoyances. We will do this all together.

1. When mommi says ALL GONE. What is up with that??!! What do you mean all gone. Go get more treats, we know that there are more!

2. When mommi goes somewhere with out us. It can't be too much fun to go anywhere without puppies? What is up with that? Katie gets really mad and sulks. Sammie practically hurls himself against the wall and cries like a little baby. I just curl up in a ball and wait until I hear mommi come back.

3. The trashman, loud trucks, loud cars, sirens in the middle of the night. We have to bark if we hear those things. We wanna make sure that they aren't coming here!

4. Anyone else who is getting attention from mommi and it isn't me!

5. When mommi hogs the 'puter and won't let us blog!

6. Rain. (well, that is my annoyance. Katie and Sammie don't mind rain so much).

7. Not having the most comfortable spot to take a nap. Meaning... someone beat us to it.
