Hello pals,
Oh, we have much to tell you!
Katherine recently competed in Rally-O for the first time last week. She and mother did quite well in their first outing. They received a qualifying score, and Katherine has the first leg of her Rally Novice title. Only two more to go!
We have all been practicing hard in our agility classes. Soon, we are afraid that one of our classes will be ending, as it is held outside. It gets dark during our class time and we don't know how much longer the teacher will keep the class. BOO. We love agility! We did hear Mother talk about fencing in more of the yard, but it will be strictly for agility. NO tunnels. (BOO.) NO digging (BOO). We can only be in that section when we are practicing. She found someone to make us a dog walk and an A frame, so we are saving our pennies and nickels to help her purchase them for the spring. WOO HOO.
Zorra is doing very well in Agility, and she's going to go to an agility trial by herself in November. I dont' think that is fair, but mother said that was just the way it is. We all are going to be in a trial in December, and we cannot wait. I have been working very hard in agility so I can compete more, myself.
For myself, I went to my first real flyball class on Friday. I did remarkably well. So well, in fact, that I was able to start working on the box. I am learning how to do a swimmer's turn on the box.
I also had to start working at my grandparent's store again. They have nearly finished the renovations, and reopened the store. I spen the entire day on Sunday working, greeting people, talking with them, and generally being the best salesman ever.
Of course, most people are THRILLED to meet me, as if they have never met a more wonderful WFT. But, one of the best things was I made a new friend on Sunday. This cute little Maltese came into the store with her parents. Her name is Mable. Oh, how cute she was!! I tried to jump up to look at her more closely, but she was firmly in her dad's arms and.... if you can believe this... pretended to ignore me! Can you believe that? I wish Mother had her camera at the time so she could have taken a photo of sweet Mable.
Well, I hope that the girls and I can snag the computer away from mother more. She's always working on it. GRRR. Hope to see you soon.

Me Me Me
Hi bloggies!
Wow, my mom got some mail today, and it was photos from a recent trial. They were all of ME.

You know, I just love a good tunnel. My mom has a bunch of photos of me coming out of the tunnel. That is because I am always smiling. I LOVE tunnels. I love agility. But, I like doing it MY way.

Here's an action shot of me going over a jump. This is called "slicing" because I am going at an angle. I was doing a serpentine, which is a 3 jump series or so, and you go through them like a snake. I LOVE serpentines.
Here I am going on the tetter totter. Don't let my serious look trick you. I love the teeter. See, my tail is wagging. I was just trying to decide if I was going to run off the end or not, and give my mom a heartattack. BOL. I like to hear it BOOM on the end. It makes me BOL.
Tomorrow, me and Mom are trying something new - Rally O. We have never competed in that before. It is like obedience, but a ton more fun. We'll let you know how it goes!

Two headed dog?

We went over to wish Tanner a happy barkday, but it looks like some sorcerer cast a spell on Joey and Tanner? What the HBO word happened? They look like they only have 2 heads now. Let's hope that Joey will remain in charge.
Maybe they are auditioning for the next Harry Potter movie?
Anway, Happy Barkday Tanner. We hope you have a good one, and can overcome this dilemma.

Paws in the Park Day
Hello Pals!
I simply must tell you of the grand time that we had recently. Every year, Mother takes us to Paws in the Park. Oh, we have a wonderful time. It is a day mostly for dogs. For those hoomans who are looking to expand their family, they can adopt a dog or cat. (This is where we first met Avery. Don't forget to vote!)
The day is chocked full of marvelous events. There's a doggie dash, musical mats, talent show, frisbee contest, and many other fab things to do. One of our favorites is FASTEST NOSE. The premise of this event is to find a hot dog amongst all these shoes. Of course, I knew that I would be outstanding in this event, and was delighted when Mother and I went to the gate.
Mother asked the nice gentleman at the gate to allow me to get the scent (like I didn't know what a hot dog smelled like. Sometimes Mother is so simple!) The fellow allowed me a small whiff of the ambrosia, and I got a bit carried away and tried to take a small sample, but he did not oblige. He went through the gate ahead of us and "hid" the morsel in a random shoe.

Here is the form of a hunter stalking his quarry. Notice the form. Head low, eyes keen, feet nimble. Ears alert. A hunter........

The scent becomes more pronounced. Oh, I will find you hot dog treat. Your days are numbered!!

I have zeroed in on the exact footwear. There it is. Yes, I have narrowed the field down. Soon, the succulent hot dog will be MINE!!

Oh, that little scamp hot dog has hopped over into this pile. The gentleman who placed the treat in the shoe was very crafty. He tried to put me "off the scent." Ah ha. I am too wise for this trick. I shall overcome this small diversion.

Ahhh, yes. Here it is. See how my nose is deep into this sneaker!! Aha....

WAIT! WAIT! WAIT! I am TAKING OVER this post. Sam is really telling you a HUGE, BIG FAT TALE. I will tell the true version.

Sam couldn't find his way out of a wet paper bag! He never found the piece of hot dog after a whole minute, sixty whole seconds! Tick Tock, Tick Tock!
In fact, here is the real picture of him. He sniffed around for a little bit, then started sniffing everywhere else! Then... do you know what he did????!!! I was soooo embarrassed. Sigh...... he lifted his LEG in the corner. Once again, mommi had to go and get him because of his inappropriate bathroom habits.

I am part beagle. The nice man let me sniff the hot dog treat and I knew exactly what I was looking for. I followed the nice man's footsteps by following his scent. I have great beagle form.

Oh boy, I know that hot dog is here. I can really smell it good now!

Ta Daaa. Here it is. Let's see... what was my TIME, Sammy??!! 5.6 seconds?????

Oh, and here is the little piece of hot dog that Sammy couldn't find. BOL. BOL. More for me!

Oh, and by the way, Sammy would never tell you this, but I had the best time on the Fastest Nose event. BOL.

HI KIDS
Hi everybloggie,
Long time no see. Well, don't blame us. Blame our MOM. She hasn't let us blog, and we gots tons to tell you.
First, we have set up a survey. You see, one of our flyball pals, the Mightly Quinn, does husky rescue with his mom. Here's Quinn with one of his kitty bros. Quinn is a good guy, he doesn't get too upset with I yell at him, or Sam body slams a greeting. Zorra really likes Quinn, as he was her first boyfriend.

Quinn's mom is campaigning to have the pup below, Avery, come live with us. Avery is probably part husky and maybe part schnauzer. Two breeds that don't listen. Mom says she already has 2 dogs that don't listen, me and Sam. BOL. I listen always, I just choose not to respond. Sam, he's just a goober.

Now, my mom is not sure she wants to have another pup here right now. She's pretty much against it, but I say.. HEY want is one more. As long as this pup minds her p's and q's and knows that I am in charge, it could be OK.
Zorra, she votes a NO. Zorra is not big on change, and this could put her over the edge.
Sam, he doesn't seem to mind as long as Avery isn't cuter than he is.
Anyway, Quinn's mom is actively supporting Avery's move to our house. Look what she did!!

I think that is supposed to symbolize how great Avery would fit in. I put a survey up near the top of the page, vote if you want. It could be fun.
We'll keep you updated, plus let you know what we have been up to in the next few days!
In the meantime, go on over and read all about Avery and Quinn, and crack baby Mickey. Quinn's mom has a lot of funny things to write about, and we think you will get a hoot out of her stories as well. You can read about it here. Tell Quinn hi for us!

Roofers, Trials, Too Many Distractions
Hello Bloggerland,
Upon my mother's return from her vacation, I had assumed that she would spend all her time with ME. However, that has not been the case. It appears that a new roof was needed for our house. I didn't really mind the water leaking in occasionally, but, apparently, it made my mother rather distraught.
To remedy this situation, a roofing company was hired to perform the needed repairs. Well, they showed up on Thursday and Katie, Zorra, and I just had to voice our displeasure with these strange men crawling all over our house!! All three of us were commenting at once, since we all had something to say.
It is very tough work watching all these strangers beat on our roof. At times, I was epecting them to fall through the ceiling. I wanted to have a taste of a roofer butt!!
It is now Wednesday and they are cleaning up their tools, etc. I am not sure what we will do during the day now. I guess we will have to resort to our old habits of napping and lounging, witing for Mother to complete her work so we can play.
Katherine and Zorra competed in a USDAA trial over the weekend. Neither of the girls did very well. Mother didn't mind all that much, as Katie was trying to explain that she was so tired from barking all day. I am not sure that Mother was too thrilled about that explanation.
We are all going to do another trial this weekend. I cannot wait, as I am entered. Oh, how I will run around the course. Dogs and people will be amazed!!

Our thoughts
Hello Everybloggie,
First, we want everyone to wish Jackson luck and are sending good thoughts for him today.
We are so glad that our Mother is back and we can get back to blogging and visiting all our friends. We are eagerly trying to catch up on everyone's lives and what is happening. We have been totally out of touch.
Katherine and Zorra are quite distraught with my actions regarding Auntie and are insisting that I apologize. I should have acted more like a good boy while Mother was gone, and not left so many "presents." So, I am publicly telling Auntie that I am sorry, and I hope you do forgive your favorite nephew, me.

As you can see, I am filled with remorse. I hope that you believe how humble I am. Do forgive me, Auntie....
If that look doesn't work... maybe this look will??

Hurrah!!

Hurray! My mother is finally home from her trip to Maui. I only had time to take a quick photo of myself, but AUNTIE tried get in the shot with me... ignore her.
Auntie and I have had our difference during Mother's absence. Auntie was rather rude the other day and attempted to make me go outside ALONE to do my business. Well, I had just about enough of her nonsensical rules, so I decided to have some fun.
When she finally said I could come in, I started limping and holding my paw up in the air. Auntie grew concerned and kept searching for the reason for my injury. Of course, there was nothing wrong, but I managed one single tear to roll out of my eye. With that, Auntie immediately called Mother. I was positive that this escapade would bring Mother home ASAP. I heard Auntie tell Mother that I was injured, but she couldn't find what was wrong. My paw wasn't bleeding (I neglected to add the appropriate ketchup stain to my fur), and that I was holding it up in the air.
Then, I heard Auntie say "You must talk to him." And... MOTHER was on the phone with me. My plan worked!! Mother said she was returning home the NEXT day. Hurray!! Of course, I immediately told Katherine and Zorra the wonderful news. We all were excited!
And, true to her word, Mother DID return the next day. Although, all she wants to do is sleep. Something about jet lag??

Take over almost complete

Hello pals.....
As you know, since Mother has been gone on this so called "holiday," we (well, actually me) have been planning for the take over from Auntie.
I'd like to inform you that it is almost complete. We were able to force Auntie into calling mother and allowing us to voice our DISPLEASURE regarding her absence. It has been two weeks since mother stole away - distracting us with treats and toys.
I managed to enlist Zorra's help this evening as the final straw to tumble Auntie's shaky hold over us. I instructed Zorra to howl her best hound dog, mournful as it can be, wail every 15 minutes. After 45 minutes of this soulful singing, Auntie was on the phone to mother. AND, we all got to speak directly with mother to let her know how we felt. It worked. She said that she was coming home this week.
Ah, yes... it worked. Auntie is now completely under my control. IN fact, at agility practice on Friday, Auntie just let me do as I will. She didn't really attempt to plot a course for our run. I just ran, and ran, and ran, and run. I was running how I saw fit. It felt so good to stretch my legs and be out of her control. And, as already stated, we even got to go to a barkday party for our friend Deeva.
We anxiously await Mother's return, but are DELIGHTED that Auntie is now under our control. We break out of our confined area at will now, and do as we please. BOL! LIFE is good!!

Shakey Regime

Hi Gang,
Auntie's regime is starting to shake. I predict that I will have complete control shortly. Auntie has kept us from the computer with internet access, but I was able to break into one while she was sleeping.
Of course, we wrote to mother while she is still on VACATION. She has been gone forever....
Hi Momy,
I hop u r havin fun in Meowie. things are good here. Auntys regeeme still holds, but Samy keeps workin on his plan.
Luv,
Zorra
-----
Hi Mom!
things are GREAT! Of course, they would be greater if you were here, but we get to go to flyball tomorrow!!! isnt that GREAT?!?!?! Auntie thought that I was crying yesterday, but it turned out there was an eyelash n my eye! Auntie got it out. Isn't that GREAT?!?!
Have GREAT fun!
Katie
-----
Mother,
I've been thinking....
and thinking.....
and thinking...
Sam
---------
Tonight, we celebrated our friend Deeva's barkday. Auntie and Auntie Debbie took us out for ice cream. Ah, it was wonderful. I will try to hack into Auntie's phone for the photos.
Unfortunately, ice cream and custard are one of Zorra's favorite treats. She is like a crack addict when she gets any. Her eyes become very, very wide and it is all she can think about! She is still muttering about more as we speak!
It is only a matter of a day or 2 until Auntie will crumble!!

AMUCK
Hello bloggerdoggers,
Well, things are AMUCK around here. Our mother escaped and has gone missing. She hopped on a plane and is with one of her friends in Maui, Hawaii.
She sent us this photo this morning with some sort of an apology for leaving us for so long. She is not returning for several days!

She has left us alone with Auntie. Oh, I am sure it will not be had to overthrow Auntie's regime. It is rather loose. However, it will take proper planning and cunnint on our part.

My job
Tomorrow, I must go back to work. My two week vacation is over. I will, again, be forced to do menial labor.....
I'm forced to take my breaks on the bare floor with no food, drink, etc. Woe is me.

HEY, who took that photo. Well, obviously, this photo was taken after I contact the WFT shop dog union.
I have made some new friends since my last post. Here are my friends, the Duckys.

They talk ALOT, more than I do. I always want go have an intelligent, in depth conversation with them. But, everytime I rush to their sides, they jump into the water and swim off to the other side of the canal. I am sure that this is just an initation into their exclusive club, and soon they will welcome me with open wings.

I also like to do my part by promoting photo-ops so all the tourists can stop and take my photo next to certain landmarks of the town. Here I am flashing my award winning smile in front of some flowers in town. I am a very good ambassador for Metamora, IN.

Here is one of the doors into our store. Since I am a buyer for the store, I have incorporated several dog related items and we will add more this year.
As you can see, my work is never done. After all, I must support Katherine and Zorra.

Our weekend
Hello Pals,
We are back, and are barely rested up from our adventures.
First things first. Zorra was NOT eaten by a bear. There were NO bears in our vicinity and we managed to come unscathed through a dreadful thunderstorm, where I spent my time in my safe bomb shelter/crate. The tent flapped wildly, the girls were not nervous, and we remained dry. I,of course, stayed in the bombshelter ready to call 911 in case of any emergencies.
We spent a delightful 2 dayss in East Fork Park in Ohio. Mother wasn't extremely happy with the camp sight, since it was all out in the open, be we got used to it after a few hours. The reason for our camping trip was, of course, for an agility trial.
Oh, I did splendidly, as you know. In fact, I was in such a good mood - I listened to my mother for a brief instant and actually decided to tease her and do a qualifying run. Well, the only reason that I did is because our cousin Calvin was with us. He was there for his agility debut. After he Q'ed on his run, I decided that there was NO way I was going to allow him to carry on and on about that! So, on that first run the 3 of us that were entered all Q'ed.
Friday.... that was our shining moment when all of us, but Zorra, (who was probably worried about being an entree to a bear) Qed. Katherine told mother last week not to keep her paws crossed. And, we all lived up to that. BOL.
Although, I was much better listening to mother over the weekend. Well, I believe it was because I was tired of hearing her whine about my selective hearing. News flash mother. I am a WFT!! I am not supposed to listen. My mother is very, very daft at times.
Mother thought she had solved the posting video problem by purchasing a special cord for the camcorder. But, she is too daft to figure it out. So, maybe she will try again to have the video uploaded.
(Don't hold your breath)......

Hi everybloggie,
I don't know about you, but I am tired of Sam's whining about a job. I have to work EVERY day, not just Saturday or Sunday. After all, someone has to keep all these pups, humans and kitties in line!
Besides celebrating July 4th this weekend, we also had a dog agility trial. Let's just say that it didn't go well, and... well, mom doesn't even want to talk about it. We all did horrible.
But, hey.. it was HOT on the day we went. Who wants to run when it is hot? Not me! After all, my breed is from Canada and I like it cooler AND rainy or snowing. That is my optimum time!
Sam didn't mind running around like an idiot in the heat. But, what really got mom going was when he spied 3 of our friends across the field and went over and stared at them through the fencing. He was trying to get them to come over and play. But, they didn't. Anyway, mom had to go pick him up and carry him off the field. Oopsie.
We are going to another trial this weekend, and our Cuzin, Calvin, is making his agility debut! We are all very excited about that. Calvin says that he will out perform that little shrimp, Sam.
Don't tell Zorra, but we are going camping, too!! Hurray! That is GREAT. I LOVE camping. We are going with our agility pals Deeva and Duffy. We are going to have a great, great time. Zorra will probably stick like glue against mom's leg like a big baby. She doesn't think camping is GREAT.
We told mom that we would try to do better this weekend, but not to have her paws crosses. BOL.

My Weekend
Hello Pals,
As you know, I was forced to get a job. Well, NOW, not only do I have to work, Mother made me dress up for July 4th.

Oh, I guess I willingly obliged.
I got into the celebration and started meeting all the customers at the door to give them a personal tour of our store.
I work very hard to personally assist all our customers to find the souvenir that they NEED to take home with them to remember our personally meeting.

As you can see, I am quite exuberant in my greetings. I do want our customers to enjoy meeting me.
We were working on July 4th, which is a GRAND holiday. Everyone is in a good mood, and there are all sorts of celebrations, parties, and all.
Wait... what is that?

OH MY!!!! It is a PARADE!!

It brings a song to my heart.. I looooooooove a parade. This parade didn't have any bands, or rat a tat tat of a drum. but, it did have some interesting things.
I think this guy left half of his truck in the garage!

This was a very small parade, and this was the ONLY float!! I should have volunteered to join them. I would have been fab on the float.

Look at this overgrown duck! Good thing Katherine wasn't here today. She's a duck toller.

You all met my friend, Horse last time. Here he is all decked out in his patriotic garb.

What a grand day this was. I enjoyed in immensely.

Work Work Work
Oh, hello pals.
My mother has forced me to get a JOB! I know you are all in shock, as I am. We go to our grandparents' store on the weekend. Usually, it is Grandmother, mother and me.
As you can see, I work in most horrible conditions with no treats, water, etc.

Well, that is the wrong photo. I did get some nutrition by having a few spoonfulls of yogurt.
You have to watch out for strange transportation.

Sometimes, I have to give a shout out to this horse to keep him in line!
I work security, you know. My job is very dangerous and I have to stay alert. I greet everyone as they come to the cash register to buy something for Grandmother. I always watch to make sure that the customers are behaving properly. I will write more of my story later. Since we only have access to the computer for a short time, Zorra wants to say something as well.
Zorra would also like to give a Happy Birthday out to Gabe. Today is his own hooman barkday! Happy Barkday, Gabe!
