Hello again. It is you I'm looking for?

Hello everydoggie!

It has been many, many bones since I have last taken computer in paw and graced everyone with my wit and charm.

Since our last conversation, we have added more to our doggie pack.  Please allow me to introduce Imp and Branwen.

First, Imp.  I have adopted him as my son, the apple of my eye.  I taught him most of what I know, but of course, not all.  That would be silly.

As you can see, he is very athletic and is taking after me in flyball.  He simply loves this sport, as I.  He came to live with us 3 years ago as a small pup from Michigan.

Our newest addition is Branwen.  She is still a pup, as she is not yet a year old.  She is also learning flyball.  B, as she is called here, has turned the house upside down.  She is constantly talking.  Does she not understand that I am the talker, not her.  She is a silly pup and does not yet reach the intellectual heights as I.

Here she is in a philosophical conversation with Katherine regarding toys on the couch in her region of the living room.  Katie does not favor loud puppies and squeaky toys that do not stop.

And, the girls, Katie and Zorra.  Branwen was not included on this walk at the time.

Here is an updated photo of my brother Rowdy, Imp and myself.  We were in Metamora, IN at our store.  We were taking a leisurely stroll last fall.

Enough for now.  I just wanted to reintroduce our family and say hello!  Hope to see some of you soon!

I was playing around on the computer today, and I found a program that did the pic below. It's made out of a bunch of my mom's photos. SHHHHHH don't tell!

Our new bother.. er brother

IMAG0453
Hello everydoggie. Oh, yes.  I'm not sure that any of you will remember us. BOL.  We are still around and kicking.

It's been so long since I've taken pen to hand and written more on my memoirs, but then again, I don't take pen to hand. It's more like trying to get a little computer time from my mother. I secured the computer from her tonight as she is sleeping.  At last, I can express myself freely.  Zorra and Katherine are on the lookout and will bark if she awakens.

We have been very busy, training for flyball, training for agility, playing, chasing balls, and fighting with each other.  However, we have convinced Mother that fighting is the best.  It makes her face a delightful shade of purple.

I'm not sure that many of you know about our new brother, Rowdy.  Well, his real name is Rowdy Roddy Piper.  And, yes, he's named after the famous wrestler of the '80s.  Sometimes I wonder about Mother's sanity.

Rowdy is a Belgian Malinois and is much bigger than the rest of us, even that fat cow Katherine.  OUCH...  Katherine just hit me on the back of the head with a Kong from saying that.  Sorry pals.

His name is Rowdy Roddy Piper, and he's just a mere pup.  I find that I must constantly keep him in line as he does not know the ways of the world.  Next week is his birthday, and he will be 2 years old.  Like the rest of us, he is a rescue as Mother says.  He lived with another family and they felt he would be better with a family that he other dogs and was into dog sports.  After a few days of talking to them, Mother decided that Rowdy must come live with us.  It was more of a dictatorship decsion, as I was NOT consulted in this matter.

One day Mother left and didn't take any of us with her.  Of course, we were all sure she would become horribly lost and we howled and howled to let her know where we were.  Mother's not the brightest bulb in the pack, shall we say, and needs all the help from us she can get.  She completely got out of range of our super sonic howling when she drove a few hours to Ft. Wayne, Indiana, where she picked up Rowdy and brought him home.  He is originally from Michigan and speaks with a bit of an accent.  I, of course, am trying to teach him proper pronunciation of all spoken word.  I have so much work to do with him.

Since I am worldly and have been many, many places, it is my mission to assure that Rowdy becomes as learned as I.   After all, remember when I went to London in my Chitty Chitty Vee Wee.  The girls and I are thinking of taking it back to see the Olympics.  I guess we could take Rowdy.

I'll have to see if he has a passport.  We do have plenty of room in the VeeWee.

Yes, I believe we will need to take a roadtrip in the VeeWee to advance Rowdy's education.  The girls and I will need to make plans, and I will need to withdraw some pup cash from my super secret Swiss bank account that Mother doesn't know about.    Stay tuned pals.

Flyball, Flyball, Flyball

Hello pals!

You all know I have been involved with Flyball for about a year now. I'm having a grand time running and racing against other pups. Of course, I am always ready to go and do the very best I can.

We had some downtime at the tournament this past weekend in Sandusky, OH. I snuck out with our team mascot, Rock E. Feller and enjoyed a quick ride on a roller coaster.

Pals, it was GRRRAND fun.

Catching up

Hello Pals,

Just sniffing around to say hello. We have been pretty busy having a lot of fun lately, and haven't taken time to blog.

We went with our flyball mates to a demo in Brown County, In. It was the Dawg Gone Walk and Fiesta. We had a GRRRRREAT time showing all the other pups how flyball is done. It was raining and misting a lot during the afternoon, but that didn't stop us. We went out and did our stuff. Not only that, we got dirty! Woo hoo.

There were some pawsome games to play too at the Pet Walk. They had the best barker, which my mother entered me in right away. However, when we got around the other dogs, I didn't care for what they were saying, and decided if you can't say anything nice you should just keep your trap shut. Although my mother kept prompting me to bark and carry on like a hooligan, I refused. Finally, she asked me if a cat had gotten my tongue. RUBBISH. DaKota (our kitty sister) was not even along for the ride, how could she have taken my tongue? I decided not to even bring that to my mother's attention, as she seemed to be overtaken by competition. My astounding silence finally got through to her, and we left. As soon as we walked away from the competition area, I immediately turned around and told all those other dogs that they were just too loud.

Mother allowed us to enter other events. We entered the Sneaker Sniff, where we had to find a hot dog bit in the middle of a bunch of shoes. Zorra was very good at that, and had a fast time of just a tiny bit over 3 seconds. However, she was not the fastest sniffer. Some other dog beat her out.

We also entered the Fastest Fetch event, which we were timed on how fast we could bring a tennis ball back. Well, pals, I was very fast, of course. I came in second and got this swell medal. I was robbed from first place by my flyball teammate, Spirit. She beat me only because she had longer legs!

The ground was so wet that we were muddy from head to toe. Mother was whining that her shoes, socks and feet were wet. I say.. wash and wear like mine, Mother!

This past Saturday was a special treat for all of us. We got to meet our pal Lenny and, now, Axel's mom Kelley.

She allowed me to jump all over and give her tons and tons of smooches, as that is what we WFTs do. Katie was quite taken with her, as well. It was so delightful after all these years of blogging to each other that we were finally able to meet face to face.

Kelley had come to Metamora, IN to do the Towpath 10K Dash with my Auntie. Well, Kelley ran, and our Auntie walked. Mother was lazy and sat on a bench and waited for them both to finish. We spotted Kelley when she was walking over to us, as we were the only 3 dogs at the finish line, so she spotted us right away. I immediately knew who she was and started smooching her right away. She was so nice and I told Mother that we should meet up with her and Axel soon.

We had a grrrreat time Saturday morning, but the fun wasn't over. More in a later post!
