Various ponderings for today

The time has finally come when I, too, shall compete again in agility. Mother and I have been practicing quite a bit, but I am still not sure the daft woman understands that I shall pick the course, and not some feeble minded human. We have a trial this weekend. We are all participating and our friends are questioning Mother's sanity for running with all three of us.

I do have to say that my favorite obstacle (as they say in the agility world) is the A frame. I LOVE it. I love to climb up and down it. But, I must tell you the absolute special part of it, is when I can look down on my mother from the apex! You can really see her turn the brightest shade of red, especially when it is the 4th or 5th time I have climbed it in a row! BOL.

Zorra has finally mastered what she refers to as her arch nemesis the ..... TEETER TOTTER. Although she is not yet as quick as I am, she has managed not to stand in the middle and be frightened to move. So, hurrah for my sister. I, on the other hand, run completely to the end as quickly as I can. I like the feel of falling through space and the loud BANG at the end.

Katherine was at an agility trial with Mother last Sunday. I still question my mother's sanity for not taking ME. Katherine really didn't want to do agility on Sunday and she told me that Mother was in a tizzy as to why Katherine didn't want to participate. Katherine told me that it was just because. Always leave Mom guessing, is her motto. Mother was all ready to just pack it up and go home before the last run, but decided since the money was already paid, that she and Katherine should just give it a go. Well, Katherine decided that she would try to complete the course this time, and bam.. she got 2nd place. Again, Katherine's motto is always leave Mom guessing.

Now, we are considering Rally-O classes. It is a cross between Obedience and agility. We may do that. It sounds like a splendid time.

Of course, Mother says if I leave any more stains in the house, that I'll never get to go anywhere again. Oh, pish posh, I say. If she would take me everywhere she goes, we wouldn't have this problem, would we Mother.

Speaking of which, I am watching Mother now as she is buzzing around the house. It appears that she is getting ready to leave and she has my leash. Yippeeee.. but.. wait... she has a towel... and shampoo... oh no...... HELP

STAIN MECCA

I hopped on the plane to AZ to visit Joe Stains and Tanner. At this point, only Joe Stains can help me with my problem.

The Stain Mecca was easy to find.....I just went to Arizona and asked every dog I met "Do you know where the Stain Mecca is?" Yea, go see Joe Stains. He can help you.

So off I went, and would you know I found his house right away. I knocked on the door, as I was uncertain how to approach the such a sacred site. And, Tanner said he would have to go see if Joe Stains was available.

I got a bit nervous when Tanner went into the sacred sleeping bag. I heard some grumbling and HBO words, and I thought for certain that I would make a stain in the STAIN MECCA. After a while, out came Minister Stains......

Minister Stains said that he could absolve me of any stains that may or MAY NOT (most likely) have been caused by me. And, not only that, with his power it also absovled me of any FUTURE stains. WHEW. This trip has been worth it.

Minister Stains started his procedure to help me out.....

I started to feel a bit dizzy and felt I was traveling through time.....

But, once I came back to my senses..... I knew that all stains that I had been admonished for were gone!

Ahh, I felt so much lighter. I also asked him to use another power of his that my Mother will forget that she is upset with me for leaving. No problem, he said. Poof... He said your mom won't even remember you EVER made a STAIN.

My problems were solved. So, I hung around with Joe Stains and Tanner and watched the Colts get whopped. :( But, you can't have everything when you just got a pardon from all the stains in your life.

Then, I remembered!! I had to get my a@@ on home, as I have an agility trial!! Oh, I hope Joe Stains is right and my Mother has forgiven me. After all, I am really cute when I want to be!! I ran off yelling thanks again to catch the next plane home. I think I can make it to the trial in time!!

Boston and the NE

Whew....

I am still on a whirlwind tour trying to find the Stain Mecca. My trip took me to Boston to visit Archie and Agatha. They know about stains. We started digging for the Stain Mecca.....

Then, all of the sudden, Agatha bopped both Archie and me on the head and said... the STAIN MECCA is NOT in Boston! You need to go see Joe Stains, silly.

And, here is my response....

So, it is set. I must go see Joe Stains. But, while I am in the Northeast, I should visit some of my friends here. Agatha, Archie and I all hopped into the VW and went to go see Maggie and Mitch.

We had a terrier tea party and it was so much fun. I was so glad to put the bark to the faces, as they say. We played and sniffed until wee morning hours. But, unfortunately, we had to call it an evening and I took Agatha and Archie back to Boston. I needed to plan my trip. I decided that I should just fly to Joe Stains house at this point. So, off to NYC, I headed. I could just get a round trip ticket and come back for the VW later.

On the way to NYC, I thought that I should just stop in and visit Asta. I stopped at the Statue of Liberty, which was quite exciting for me.

I met some nice people on the subway.....

I was walking down Asta's street, and there she was waiting on me...

It was so nice to meet Asta and she showed me around her neighborhood. We had a lot of fun window shopping, reading pee mail, sniffing. But, my plan to the Stain Mecca was leaving soon and I had to hurry to JFK.

I cannot believe what good friends I have made and how nice they all have been on my journey. Now, off to the plane....

My trip continued

Lorenza and I have had a great time. She has shown me so many sites in Mexico, and I have had a little too much fun from drinking margaritas! After exploring Mexico, I did not find the Stain Mecca. I feel that I have gone further away from it. I think I had better head back to the States. I snapped this photo of Sweet Lorenza before I left. I was so sad to leave, and I offered her an invitation to come stay with my sisters and me any time she wished.

I hopped back into the VW and noticed that I had a message on my cellphone from my mother. She was wondering where I had went off to, and I had better call home soon.

I started the VW north back to the States. I was listening to my IPOD and not really paying much attention before I realized that I was at Four Corners. This is where Arizona, Colorado, Utah and New Mexico all join together. I had a lot of fun standing with each paw in a different state. I enjoyed speaking with the Native Americans there and I did some meditation along some of the mesas. I was sure that I was EXTREMELY close to the Stain Mecca, and was trying to feel which way to go.

I got back into the VW and followed my instincts......

Before I knew it, I was in Louisiana! So, I stopped by to catch up with Peanut and Flash. They took me for a ride in their truck and here we are getting out for some ice cream! We had a grand time chasing each other in their yard, chasing their kitty family and playing with their humans. Unfortunately, I remembered that I was supposed to be looking for the Stain Mecca. Darn it all, I had to leave.

I realized that Nascar season is starting next month! I wanted to go to the World Headquarters of Nascar, so I headed for North Carolina. Then, I remembered that my little friendzee Lacy Lulu lived there and I found her house right away. I enjoyed hanging out with her and we had a lot of fun sitting in her yard and talking.

Now, I feel that I am really far away from the Stain Mecca. I need som advice. I know where I shall stop next. I'll go check out A & A. They know about stains. So, it is off to Boston! Hang on. I am pushing the pedal to the metal!

Day 2 of my journey

Hello Bloggerland,

I am still on my journey to the Stain Mecca. I received a few messages from my pals to join them until my mother comes to her senses. I also received a message from Jake and JH to look for that wayward egret. So, I thought... Why not kill 2 birds with one stone, so to speak. I know if I were an egret, I would go somewhere warm, and since many of my friends live in Texas, I would head that way.

Just as I was leaving Iowa, I spied the old egret. It was flying toward the Corn Palace!!! Why this egret would continue to fly north, is beyond me, but nevertheless, I was going to get that egret and return him to Florida!!

I followed him to South Dakota, then Lincoln Nebraska, then Dodge City, Kansas. Then, that dirty old bird headed straight for Oklahoma. I knew that Good Old Tell, Glynn and Cap would help me get that old bird. I mean, they have chickens! Certainly they could catch an egret? We tried to catch that egret, but we couldn't. I even looked in the flower pot. I sort of got stuck, as you can see by the photo.

THEN, that bird flew straight up in the air and headed South. So, I bid my pals adieu and jumped in the VW. The journey as is follows.

I finally caught up to that old bird in Houston, TX. I tricked him with more fish. I put a bow around his mouth and sent him back to Florida with strict instructions. I hope he doesn't get lost in shipping?

After all that, I need to take a rest. Currently, I am hanging out with Cricket, Sparky and Ginger in the back of their dad's truck. Maybe they can help me find the Stain Mecca. I think I am getting closer?

Day One of my trip

I left under the cover of darkness last evening. I packed up my little VW and hit the road. I heard about something called a CAW-cus in Iowa. I decided that would be a good place to see if I could get some kind of a pardon regarding the one or twenty stains and, basically go over my mother's head since she has no compassion for my plight. I heard that there were a lot of rallies there, and maybe someone would steer me in the right direction.

Since we live in Indiana, it isn't that far to Iowa. In fact, Auntie travels there sometimes to see her friends, April, Gabe, and Sierra. They rescue cats, and that is where we got Baby Dakota. That map is sort of small, but you can get the idea.

Along the way, I had to stop and fill up the VW with some petrol. I pulled my big rig next to all the other semis at the World's Largest Truck Stop Iowa 80.

Ahh, I finally started looking for the CAW-cus. I came upon a couple. I asked these old crows about some kind of pardon, but they were all cawing all over each other and it made my head swim. I couldn't understand anything that they said. They were flying around from point to point, and no one would answer my questions. So, I got back in the VW, and tried to find Butchy and Snickers, since I was in the neighborhood.

They let me warm up by their nice fire, and I was off again, to find someone who outranked my mother in the stains department. I had heard a rumor about some kind of Stain Mecca. I must find it.
