Hello again. It is you I'm looking for?

Hello everydoggie!

It has been many, many bones since I have last taken computer in paw and graced everyone with my wit and charm.

Since our last conversation, we have added more to our doggie pack.  Please allow me to introduce Imp and Branwen.

First, Imp.  I have adopted him as my son, the apple of my eye.  I taught him most of what I know, but of course, not all.  That would be silly.

As you can see, he is very athletic and is taking after me in flyball.  He simply loves this sport, as I.  He came to live with us 3 years ago as a small pup from Michigan.

Our newest addition is Branwen.  She is still a pup, as she is not yet a year old.  She is also learning flyball.  B, as she is called here, has turned the house upside down.  She is constantly talking.  Does she not understand that I am the talker, not her.  She is a silly pup and does not yet reach the intellectual heights as I.

Here she is in a philosophical conversation with Katherine regarding toys on the couch in her region of the living room.  Katie does not favor loud puppies and squeaky toys that do not stop.

And, the girls, Katie and Zorra.  Branwen was not included on this walk at the time.

Here is an updated photo of my brother Rowdy, Imp and myself.  We were in Metamora, IN at our store.  We were taking a leisurely stroll last fall.

Enough for now.  I just wanted to reintroduce our family and say hello!  Hope to see some of you soon!

Flyball, Flyball, Flyball

Hello pals!

You all know I have been involved with Flyball for about a year now. I'm having a grand time running and racing against other pups. Of course, I am always ready to go and do the very best I can.

We had some downtime at the tournament this past weekend in Sandusky, OH. I snuck out with our team mascot, Rock E. Feller and enjoyed a quick ride on a roller coaster.

Pals, it was GRRRAND fun.

My New Job!

Hello Pals,

Sorry for our absence from Blogging. We have been busy traveling to Michigan and Ohio for Flyball tournaments. As you know, I don't like to brag (Katie here.. editor in chief, and all he does is brag!) but I have again been awarded a very prestigious award! Yes, I am the fastest wire fox terrier in U-fli for 2010.

IMAG0195

As you can see, it has named me a breed ambassador. I have dressed up in my new ambassador uniform. I have yet to receive my sash, but I am assuming that it as been ordered and will arrive shortly.

1299809169_picsay-1299809169.jpg

Katie here again. Zorra and I are not really sure that this "certificate" is real. Sam may have printed it off the computer himself. But, my mom said that there is an official seal. If he shows up at the next flyball tournament in that stupid top hat and tie and/or sash, I'm going to do this to him again! Just an FYI, we're pretty sure that no other wire fox terrier competed in U-fli last year............

Embarrassments from Mother

Sam here. Fresh from the groomer's with my new military cut. Everyone has been scolding my mother for having my fur cut during winter. I say that it cuts down on drag when I'm running flyball. I need to be as fast as possible, you know.

In my last installment I told you about the embarrassing story of my mother locking the Supreme Commander and herslf INSIDE the trailer. I had hoped that would be the last we would hear of that escapade.

No, it wasn't. Mother snuck out to a flyball pawty yesterday and brought home this monstrosity.

One would think an award would be a shining jewel in one's career. A small memento of a moment in time when everything came together. You are probably asking what is this ugly rock/frog. Pals, this is (an I use the term "award" loosely) is an award for the most idiotic thing of the year. Yes, mother won it for imprisoning both the Supreme Commander and herself in the RV trailer.

Zorra and I are investigating this very carefully, as you can see. I'm not really happy that mother won this award. It's not necessarily as important as the awards I won this year....

THIS is an award.

or this...

Luckily, she will award it to someone else next year. THANK goodness. My sisters and I will be watching and tabulating and will be happy to get this black mark erased from our record! Seriously, we have a reputation to uphold, even though Mother is taking this award so lightly!

The year in review, according to ME, Sam.

Hello Pals,

As I take paws to keyboard, I am thinking of all the experiences that my sisters and I have had this year.

This has been a great year of change for all three of us, not to mention Mother. Zorra competed at the CPE Nationals (Agility) in Kissimmee, FL. She took a long trip with Mother and the Supreme Commander through Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida to go compete for 3 days. Katherine and I were forced to stay home with Auntie, and we did not have as much fun as Zorra.

We've all competed in agility trials closer to home. We have all done very well and have had fun. We've all gained a couple titles or so in the past year as we go toward the ultimate goals of the top titles.

Katherine has started a new sport that Mother says is just for her. Hurmph. I am going to try it one of these days when Mother isn't looking. It is called lure coursing and Katherine loves it. She would rather do that then anything else.

Most of our time and adventures have been gained through Flyball. When we go to flyball tournaments, we tend to go with the Supreme Commander and stay in her RV trailer. It is usually Spirit and Yippee, who are in charge of the Supreme Commander, and all of us. We like traveling with the trailer, as it is:

  • airconditioned
  • has a bathroom
  • roomy
  • has a kitchenette
Mother says that at some point, we may have to sleep in our tent like we used to, but she can stay in that leaky tent. We want to stay in the cushy surroundings!

Although, at times I do wonder about Mother's mental state. Earlier this summer, she managed to lock the Supreme Commander and all of us..... (wait for it) INSIDE the trailer. Yes, you read that right, pals. We were locked inside. At some point when Mother walked inside, she managed to somehow break the door mechanics and we were imprisoned! Luckily, The Supreme Commander got on her cellphone and called our teammates Boogie and her mom, Gloria. They came over right away (ten feet) to release us. It was the worst 10 minutes of my life. Seriously, there's something wrong with my Mother sometimes. It is a good thing that she was with me, and I was able to bring a calmness to the situation.

Of course, now for me. This year I took up the fast and exciting team sport of Flyball. Oh my goodness pals, it is the best thing. I can run as fast as I can, retrieve a tennis ball (which I love to do) and bring it back to the Platoon Sargent. I started in March, and now I am the top Wire Fox Terrier in U-Fly and the #8 in NAFA. I can't tell you how much fun it is, and I wish everyone could play with us.

I've met lots of interesting friends on our SWAT team. They are from Ohio and we don't see them often, but when we do it is a grand time.

Our own team is Extreme Insanity Flyball team and we have a grand time together. We competed in the NAFA nationals where I received one of my flyball titles this year.

We lost our beloved kitty brother, Harley, who we all still miss terribly. Out of respect, we have given DaKota (our kitty sister) a pass for a while before we start chasing her again.

We're ending this year and beginning the new one at an agility trial with our cousin Cal. Some of our friends are going to be there as well, and we can't wait.

Katherine, Zorra, mother (Platoon Sargent) and I are wishing all our pup pals a very happy new year with many treats, pats and hugs.

Flyball and such

Hello Pals,

Oh, my sisters and I have been so busy going to flyball tournaments and agility practice. We have actually met ourselves coming and going.

I must tell you that I find flyball so very exciting. Of course, everyone who sees me comes up to my mother and and asks about me. I'm quite well known. Some people think I am an Airedale puppy, of all thing! Obviously, they have never met my good friends Maggie and Mitch!

Others marvel at how Mother has been training me to do flyball. They say they've never seen a wire fox terrier doing flyball! How odd, I would think that everyone wants to do it. My mother says that she was naive in the ways of wire fox terrorism and just assumed that I could be trained, or die trying. In reality, I owe little to my mother, and I owe it all to the Supreme Commander. She is the one I take orders from. My mother is merely a platoon Sargent. My mother and I must seek out the Supreme Commander before our flyball runs, which I receive secret orders to carry out during the mission. I guess I can tell you most of the orders of my secret mission, dear friends. Just don't tell my mother. Most of the time, my commander says.. Run as fast as you can, Sam, over all four jumps. Get the ball, bring it back to the Platoon Sargent. I must complete the mission successfully to receive my ration of bits of nicely prepared rare steak. YUM.

In fact, dear WFT pals, our breed is so rare in performance sports that I have won two awards just being me at flyball tournaments. I have received the award for most unusual flyball dog! And, for the dog that loves flyball so much, I run with all my heart. For that one, I won a HUGE gift basket, which unfortunately I had to share with my sisters and cousins.

I have managed to become the #1 wire fox terror in U-fli and I am currently #10 in Nafa. I'm doing this for all the WFTs that have received a bad rap for not being trainable in sports! HURRUMPH is what I say. I have just had more chances to try things than other pups. I want you all to be proud of our accomplishments as I do it for one and all.

Next event - agility!

Athletic Endeavors

Ahhh, hello mates.

Yes, again, we have been MIA. But, I must tell you that since our last meeting I made my flyball debut with outstanding results! However, I am sure my dear friends knew that whatever I do, I do with style and success.

Over the July 4th weekend, I went with my flyball team to Sandusky, Ohio and the Fur In A Blur tournament. This was my debut to run on a team. Of course, I walked in with my usual self confidence. I was measured in to determine my jump height. You see, since I am one of the shorter members of the team, it is imperative that I am measured properly. I came in under 16 inches, so it was a thumbs up.

I shared the height dog spot with my dear friend Scrubby, an older Sheltie. Scrubby has many trick to relay to me, but every time I tried to talk to him about his experiences, he was off to find a treat from one of the hoomans.

My mother, sigh... oh, she tries. However, she ruined 2 of my runs by making a mistake. I guess she should have had more training. Luckily, the other hoomans are assisting her.

Pals, I ran like the wind every time it was my turn. I raced to the box, grabbed the ball, and raced back to the end. Unfortunately, no one was able to document my historic runs, and we will have to wait until Auntie can attend a flyball tournament in October. I have another tournament next Sunday and I am sure I will set the place on fire.

In an earlier tournament a couple of months ago, I was running a single dog race all weekend. Oh, it was fun. I raced against other dogs. It was extremely exhilarating. And, not only was I recognized for my sheer speed and stature, I also received a very special award. I received a reward for "Most Unusual Dog." I was ill prepared for my acceptance speech, as I did not even know I had been nominated. Before I knew it, MY MOTHER went to accept the reward on my behalf. WHAT?? In the introduction, I briefly heard them say something about "We're giving this award to Sam, the wire fox terrier. None of us have ever seen a wire fox terrier do flyball. They are a rare breed in this."

Well, hoomans.. OF COURSE I am a rare breed. I think hey were just so amazed at my talent and sheer athleticism that they had to honor me. Everyone seemed to be quite pleased with their selection, but I feel I was a shoe-in for this award. What do you think, friends?

As a result of my racing skills in Sandusky, I have new initals after my name for my flyball title, FDX. After all, Zorra is only an FD in flyball. LOL.

Until next time,

Sam

Help me pals!!!

Oh, pals.. I need your help. I have been hearing whispers that I am going to get a dreaded...

....

....

....

HAIRCUT

Oh, my mother says I'll be cooler. Whatever... I don't want a haircut. My mother gives me a homestyle haircut. Have you ever seen a wire fox terrier with a bowl cut?

I'm pleading....

Mom also said that my hair needs to be trimmed because I have to get measured for flyball. I need to be "as short as possible." WHAT??????!!!!!!!

I am a big boy! Oh sure, I am the smallest one in my house, but why should that spread to the flyball world. Hurmph. Oh, so what if the team needs a height dog, and I am a little taller than what they want. My mother is calling me, too tall Sam.

Good thing I am a wire fox terrier and I have a big enough ego and self esteem that I don't have to listen to this garbage about my height. I just want my fur to look nice for my big debut at the NAFA tournament.

I'll let you know how it turns out. Of course, if I don't like it, I can always resort to this to get my mom back...... BOL

Update!!!! My mother just watched EXTREME POODLES on the telly. Oh, plz help!!! It was all about artistic grooming! Yikes.

Flyball Road Trip

Wow. Getting ready for a trip to Michigan! I have NEVER been there, although Zorra was last month for a big flyball tournament. I cannot wait. I had a GREAT time in Henry, IL a couple of weeks ago. Oh, yea.. well, I had a great time. Not sure Mom did.

You see, it is like this. I play by my own rules. If others want to follow what I say and do, then we will get along GRREAT. If not, then you have a problem, and I will tell you about it, of course.

I watch a lot of Nascar, and Tony Stewart is my favorite driver. You see, we live by the same philosphy sometimes.... If you ain't rubbin' - you ain't racin'.

In flyball, they have this B-O-R-I-N-G rule that all dogs should remain in their OWN lane. The dogs should systematically jump over the jumps in THEIR lane, get THEIR balls from THEIR box an run back to THEIR handler. Let me tell ya. B-O-R-I-N-G.

Oh, sure, I do the above in class. I have to do some trash talking to the other dogs to get in their heads before a run. I study dog psychology and know what to say to get in their heads and they give me a Wiiiiiiiide bearth most of the time. BOL.

But, in a tournament, I like to trash talk, of course, and then sometimes I like to go bump the other dog while they are running in their lane, getting their ball from their box. OH man, does my mom get mad! So what if I want to chase the other dog in their lane and try to get their ball before they do, and so what if I do a bump and run?

My mom is always saying something like blah blah blah, don't you want to be on the big dog team like Zorra and run in the big league? What's wrong with you? Do you want to only run in minor league?

I say.. Zorra, Smorra. She would jump off a bridge if you told her to, and I wasn't there to stop her. I say.. Run with Gusto, be your own dog, don't do what is expected, take everyone out who doesn't listen... those are my mottos.

Mom has a LOT to learn about flyball. BOL. Wish her luck.

Hurumph

Mother thinks she's quite clever. She posted her to her own blog horrid lies about ME!

I am not very happy with Mother anyway, and I WILL leave her a nice present when she's not looking. Katherine, Zorra, and mother are going to a flyball tournament and I am not going. I am so distraught. Mother says I need to stay home and take care of Auntie and go to work.

HURMPH. THAT does NOT sound like a GOOD TIME MOTHER. I shall bite you when you return on Sunday. Until then, however, I will be the best boy possible, so that when you think of me, you will think of fond memories while I plan my revenge.

Flyball, Award, etc

Hi pals!

Long time, no see. BOL. We have been busy going to flyball tournaments, with and without our mom. Well, Zorra has been going to flyball tournaments. I have only been to one recently. But, business first.
We did find this in our mailbox today. Wow! WE are honored.

Thanks!!!

We certainly have been neglectful of our pals, but have been tweeting a bit lately. But, training for agility and flyball has been a pretty high priority for us.

A few weeks ago, Zorra and I went to a flyball tournament and Zorra won her first Flyball title. It was very, very exciting! She was racing with three other dogs and did a great job for her first time. Sam and I went for moral support. I raced, but I raced just against another dog. I wasn't on a team. Sam is still in training, and didn't race at all. He was just along for the ride.

Two weeks ago, Auntie took Zorra to a flyball tournament with the team in Chelsea, Michigan. Zorra was pretty nervous since she was away from Mom and me. But, she tried really hard for Auntie. Zorra liked being with our Auntie Sharon, who also is one of our agility instructors. They all stayed in Auntie Sharon's RV and had a great time.

Last week, Zorra, Sam, Mom and our Auntie Becky all went to Henry Illinois for a U-fli tournament. We didn't run on a whole team, but I ran with another dog, Max. We ran pairs. We raced against another pair of dogs. We didn't win, but we chalked it up as a learning experience.

Zorra ran in single dog racing and had a personal best time of 7 seconds. Mom was very excited. In a week, we are going to Hastings, Michigan for a Nafa flyball tournament. Zorra is racing, and we are all going for moral support. We can't wait!!!!

We are MAD.

Ok, Mom has been busy and is a computer hog - what does that mean to us? NO BLOGGING! Well, we have been sorta busy, too. But, more on that later. Right now, Zorra, Sam and I are MAD.

Last night on our last runaround before going to bed, I did a little bit of hunting. When Mom called us in, I brought in my trophy. A nice, fresh rabbit. You know what she did? She had the nerve to yell at ME. Can you believe it?

I dropped my treasure right on the kitchen floor. Zorra and I were really ready to start snacking, but Mom made us go into another room. Sam was still waiting to go do his business and he wanted to see the prize too. He thought perhaps I would share (NOT).

Anyway, while we were all in other parts of the house, somehow Mom took the rabbit and did something with it. I have searched EVERYWHERE for my rabbit. Zorra, Sam, and I have searched the house, outside and everywhere we can think. Mom musta put it up for later, although that wasn't very nice. I worked hard for it.

So, I am going to sulk. :(

But, on a bright note Mom is in charge of our flyball team website. You can look at it by going here, if you want. We went to one tournament already and Zorra got her first Flyball title. She's pressy excited about that. I'm not racing on the team yet because I would just rather crash into other dogs and run like Nascar. So, I only run by myself or with one other dog. Sam is STILL in training, too.

We will be getting around to everyone's blogs to get caught up. See you all soon!

?? Flyball ??

See my face. I have my game face on. I am going to be in my very first Flyball team tournament this weekend. I am IN THE ZONE.

Where is my mom????? She's still in India! W T Heck!! She better get her #@#@ butt back here. I will leave without her!! I have been training for this moment for 3 years.

I am ready. I have my trash talk down. I am confident and I will run faster than any other beagle/foxhound mix EVER.

If you see my mom in the airport, tell her to hustle her bustle back to the US. We have to leave on Friday!

Katie says not to worry that mom will make it back. She better!!!

Another Flyball Tale....

Hello Everybloggie,

My mommi is a computer hog. Sammie swears she oinks! I sez to him, "you better not let mommi hear you." I have exciting things to tell everybloggie!

Auntie, Katie, and Me ditched mommi and went to the dog training place for a flyball demo this past weekend. See, Auntie is my "handler" for flyball most times in class. I don’t really need a handler, but I ammuses mommi and auntie by pretending I need their help.

Spirit (Auntie Sharon's dog that is on the team) and me competed againt Maverick (another dog on the team, and Katie's BOYFRIEND) and this dog from another team--Ronan. Ronan is one of the fastest Border Collie's around here! Auntie got weepy she was so proud of me runnin against Ronan. I didn let him get too far ahead of me! I think if Auntie woulda released me earlier I could've won!

Auntie can be as forgetful as mommi, sos I dunt have any pics, but the Indy Star folks were there and got a shot of Maverick and Spirit runnin. Spirit is the one that sorta looks like Katie.

P.S. Katie did good too, but she iss not an official flyball girl like me!

Flyball Tournament, Part 2

Ok, doggies.. on with my story.

After a trazillion years of riding in Auntie Sharon's van, in a crate, next to Yippee, we arrived at the spot where the Flyball tournament was going to be.

Auntie Sharon and mommi set up the trailer we all got to get out and stretch our legs. There were a bunch of other doggies running around and chasing frisbees, balls, and going into this big building. I could hear a lot of trash talk like Katie and maverick say to each other.

Mommi and I went into the building and I saw what the other dogs were in there doing. They were doing FLYBALL!!! I was a little nervous, because I didn't know these other dogs. I had never seen them before in my life. They were running up and down the lane and getting the ball really, really fast.

We hung around there for a while, watching. Those dogs should had a lot of things to say to each other!!! Some of it was not polite.

After we were done with that, we had to settle down and go to sleep in the trailer. Let me tell you, staying in that trailer is MUCH nicer than the tent Mommi normally makes us stay in. Mommi, Katie, and Sammie all like camping. But, I sure don't. It is too scary for me!

Since Mommi and I had never participated in a Flyball tournament EVER, Auntie Sharon had to show us what to do. I had to go meet a scary man and get measured. They measure me really wierd, not like in agility. This man measured my leg. I did NOT like him touching me, at all. We had not been properly introduced!

Yippee had to be measure too, but he's older than I am, and he is a TERRIER. He let that man touch him with no problems.

Yippee was the first one to race. He ran right up and back. Auntie Sharon was very happy. Mommi was very happy, too.

Then, it was my turn. We did a couple of warm-up jumps, and then this ref-free asked my mommi if we were ready?

READY? READY for WHAT? Don't make me run all the way down there by myself against that dog I do not know!!!! OH, then we got into the starting position and there were flashing lights, and mommi was telling me to get ready to go.

There are 4 lights, just like in drag racing. The first one is red, yellow, yellow, and then green. The purpose is doggies are supposed to cross the start line right when the light turns green! Well, mommi and I suck on that part, as we never did that before. But, I did the best I could and I ran down, grabbed the ball, and ran back without dropping the ball or running off. Everyone was very happy and very proud! You would have thought I won all the races in the world, momi was so happy!

Rubie was the last of us to race and she ran off a couple of times, but she came right back. Auntie Sharon was really, really happy about that.

We went bacy to the trailer and we had a great pawty. We got extra treats and everything! We doggies were so happy and Auntie Sharon and mommi were so happy, too.

We left Illinois and it was great. When we got back home the weather was even nice. I was sooo happy when we turned into our house and saw Katie and Sammie I could barely contain myself.

Mommi said next time, Katie is going to do flyball too. (Katie doesn't like to listen too much, and sometimes runs off). I know we cannot wait until the next time we get to go Flyball.

I cannot wait until tonight to tell all the other doggies in flyball class abou last weekend!! I am now a true flyball dog.

Flyball Tournament, Part 1

HI everydoggie!!

I had a great weekend. It was filled with drama, excitement, danger, drama.....

First, mommi and Auntie Sharon had signed Rubie, Yippie (Auntie Sharon's kids) and me up for a u-fli Flyball tournament. We were going to do single dog racing, and none of us had done it before. I have to tell you pals, I was NERVOUS. I wanted to do everything just perfectly and not mess up.

On Friday nights, we practice flyball with everydog, and it is always loud with everydog barking and such. All the other doggies are talking trash to each other saying they are faster and are better, especially Maverick and Katie. When they race each other, they are always barking and being very loud. I sometimes bark when Katie is barking because I always tell her that it isn't nice to say such things. They are always barking that the other "is a slow poke! BRING it on! EAT MY DUST, you pup", etc. Katie calls Mav an old codger, and then, that makes Mav REALLY mad and he says that he will be down and back before she even starts. I can't even repeat what Sammie says, and he isn't practicing flyball right now!! But, mommi says not to listen that he's just got a sailor terrier mouth. Anyway, I am digressing....

Here is a picture of another dog doing flyball, as we are still in the process of switching computers. You can see that it is very fast.

Flyball August 27 008

It started raining really, really hard on Friday and mommi was saying that there were some really bad storms coming. Sammie doesn't like these storms at all and goes into his bomb shelter behind the couch. He never wants to come out until he knows for sure that the storms have passed on by. It rang a LOT that night. During breaks in the storm when he would come out of the shelter, he was drawing up plans for making even more modifications to the VW.

It rained so much that mommi said that we might not be able to go to the tournament because it was flooding everywhere. Since we were going to take Auntie Sharon's van and RV trailer, it might be too much. But, Auntie Sharon called and said the coast was clear and let's try to go.

I have to tell you pals, I was not too keen on going out in such weather. I don't like water all that much. I don't like to go out in the rain, but mommi said to just come on or she would take someone else. Well, that would not have been fun for me!!!! This was going to be my first tournament and I just HAD to go. She was really insistent, so I put on my life vest and followed mommi on out. We said good-bye to Katie and Sam who were arguing about the modifications to the VW.

Just a short piece from our house, the water was coming across the road. I didn't like to too much and I told mommi that we should turn around. She didn't listen. We just went right on through the water! I was really nervous, but mommi said everything was OK. She said, look it is just a couple inches of water, nothing to worry about.

We had to go a long way to get to Auntie Sharon's house. I thought we were never going to get there. I kept telling mommi that, too. But, again she didn't listen. Then, we were really close to where Auntie Sharon lives. There was water RUSHING across the road. In fact, the water was going waaaaay up on cars. I tried to point that out to mommi, but she didn't listen. All she said was, "Don't worry, we are in a truck." I am telling you doggies, this water was moving fast across the street. Water is not supposed to be on the street. We weren't in the VW!! The VW has floatation devices!!! And, I don't think our truck did! MOMMI, don't do it. MOMMI, this truck isn't a Johnny boat!!! STOP. That is as wide as the M-i-ss-i-ss-pp-i Riber!!

We went across the river that was rushing over the street. I just knew that we were going to get washed away and end up in the ocean! Mommi calls me a worrywart, but someone had to be!!! Mommi was being very foolish. Oh sure, there were all these other vehicles going through the water. Do you have to do everything everyone else does, mommi? Mommi kept saying that the water wasn' t that deep yet and we were going through it. It was only a few inches. Finally, we got across that river that was like 1,000 miles wide. We went another million miles to Auntie Sharon's house.

Auntie Sharon lives on hill, and she has an agility field down below. We looked over and saw that the agility field was just an island and the water was rushing like a zillion miles an hour into the lake. I was just glad that we were way up high on top of the ravine!

Auntie Sharon and mommi said it was time to get going, and I had to get into a crate next to Yippee. I was not happy being in Auntie Sharon's van, in a strange crate, without any of my stuff AND having to sit next to Yippee. I just stared holes into my mommi's back to let her know how unhappy I was! Everydog knows I don't do well with change!!!

So, we started the gazillion mile ride to Illynoise. I will be in this crate furever!

Sorry for the lack of photos, as mommi forgot her camera. :(

Part II coming soon.

Some of our pals

Hi everybody...

I wanted to introduce you to some of our pals that we do agility with on the weekends. NOt only that, we also take the same agility classes together, so we hang out with our pals a bunch. My mom still hasn't figured out how to upload the video from that cheap (hbo word) video camera (she hopes she can get the good one fixed), so it will be a couple more days before you can see that.

Here I am in my crate. I hate my crate, but we have to stay in them at trials to keep us all safe from pups that may be a bit rude. I have my favorite blankie and a couple of toys. You can see my Qualifying ribbon hanging on my crate. I was very proud of myself.

Here is Bandit. He is a Sheltie. You can't see it but, he's got a bunch of toys in his crate. He's much smaller than I am, which is why his crate is different. I think he was sleepin when we took this photo. Bandit is a rescue.

Next is our pal Riley. He is a Merle Sheltie. Riley likes to talk when he's running. He always has something to say to somebody! Sometimes, he wants his privacy and he stays behind a sheet in his crate so he can get some shuteye. He has a brother named Duncan who looks a lot like him. But, Duncan is bigger. Duncan is going to make his agility debut soon.

Our last pal we are introducing today is Deeva. She is a rescue, too. Deeva has really blue eyes like a huskey, and markings of a Border Collie. She's an all American dog like me. She was taking a breather from her crate and was showing us one of her imitations of a frog. Deeva is also learning flyball with us. She has a younger brother named Duffy who competes. He is a black and white Sheltie. He just wasn't competing that day. (There are sooo many shelties in our area. Remember our friends Willow and Simba that we mentioned in our last post? BOL)

We have a lot of fun when we are all together. Our hoomans are always yacking, too. But, the really funny thing is they are always yacking about how they will forget the course they are supposed to run. They never do, except my mom.... She's forgetful sometimes, and then, Katie, Sam, and I have to save her butt!!

Whew...

Hi Kids,

We finally made it home from Malaysia and we really had a great time! Right after we got home, we had to go to agility practice and flyball practice. We have some trials coming up and wanted to practice as much as we can.` Well, Mom does. She's need remedial help on remember the courses.

Boy, did Mom get in trouble for Zorra's sloppy turns in Flyball Practice. BOL!! It is ALWAYS funny when Mom gets in trouble, since she says we are all troublemakers. Of course, Auntie didn't think Zorra had such a sloppy turn the other night when she got the zoomies in the house and used Auntie as a launching board. Auntie kept yelling.. I'M NOT A FLYBALL BOX!!!! BOL! BOL! In Flyball, the "perfect turn" is a swimmer's turn. Zorra was doing perfect swimmer's turns off of Auntie's legs and body.

We certainly are getting excited about the Super Bowl Pawty that Gussie and Joe Stains are having. We need to pack our bags and get ready to go. We don't want to miss our flight on Aire Ruby.

Sam has already left in the VW to go help Gussie and Joe with the pawty.

MY TURN!!

Hi bloggieees,

I am taking over the blog today. We just receivd a pee-mail from Sam. He is living it up in Mexico with Lorenza. I'm still at a loss as to how he got a car and the money to go down there. HMMMMMMMM.

Anyway, I have temporarily blocked his Blogger access. HEE HEE.

Zorra and I had a great time this past weekend practicing agility, AND, on Sunday we got to go to a FLYBALL Party. And, not only that, we are now associate members of the team so we can tell Sam to bug OFF. (He hasn't started training yet).

The flyball party was a Christmas party with the other members of the team. We had a gift grab bag exchange and Mom got me a GREAT squeeky toy. We had so much fun.

We also brought the Flyball box home to practice, so maybe Mom can get off her tush and film us!

Our really great little pal Lacy LuLu gave us this award. Thanks so much! We have made so many great buddies on here in such a short time. We just love going to everyone's blog and learning about our new friends. We're sending this off to our pal River, and all our other pals. We love you all and love everyone's stories.
